As the leader of the Portsmouth Ghostbusters, I want to address our policy on inducting members who are under 18 years old.
Currently, we do not allow individuals under the age of 18 to join our group. This decision is based on several factors, such as the access to our group chat (for obvious reasons) and the insurance issues surrounding their attendance at events without parental supervision. We also need to take into consideration the limitations on event numbers if parents or guardians are required to accompany minors.
In light of this, I am excited to announce the creation of the Ghostbusters Rookie Academy for under 18s. This dedicated program will offer monthly two-hour workshop sessions (Cost at £25 per session, per child), at Portchester Community Centre. Where young ghostbusters-in-training can craft Ghostbusters related props, under parental guidance for those under 16.
Our Occult Specialists and other team members will be on hand to help and guide the sessions, ensuring that the young recruits have the support they need to bring their creations to life.
During these sessions, Rookies will have the opportunity to make items, that will assist them in their Paranormal investigation excersises. This will be using card, carboard and other materials. Included in the workshop fee, we will provide boxes, Velcro strips, paints, brushes, glue, and plastic tubing for our young participants to unleash their creativity. Then near to the end of each session (if there is time), the Rookies can partake in Ghost investigation/hunting and trapping excercises, with the help of our grown up Ghostbusters. Bring the kit to events and we will have a dedicated Rookie Handler to take your kids on ghostly adventures.
To ensure the safety of everyone involved, parents will be responsible for using knives and scissors during the crafting process. Additionally, we will have a separate hot glue station for parents to use when necessary.
Here at the Portsmouth Ghostbusters, we are dedicated to fostering a love for all things Ghostbusters in individuals of all ages. We are excited to launch the Ghostbusters Academy for under 18s, providing monthly sessions for young Rookiess to unleash their creativity and enthusiasm with the guidance of our team's "Occult Specialists" and other members.

This form is only for this single workshop. Each month a new form will be set up. Please submit one form per child.
