On June 8th 2024, the 40th Anniversary of the original Ghostbusters film, we hosted one of the largest Ghostbuster gatherings in the UK, and it was nothing short of spectacular! The event, held at Port Solent ComicCon, brought together a remarkable community of fans and enthusiasts, united by a shared love for all things Ghostbusters.
We were thrilled to count 68 Ghostbusters in our main picture, and we know there were even more who didn't make it into the shot. The energy and enthusiasm were palpable, and it was truly a sight to behold. Thanks to the incredible support from all attendees, we managed to raise an astonishing £2,000 for Cancer Research UK. Your contributions will go a long way in supporting this vital cause, and we couldn't be more grateful.
A special thank you goes out to my incredible team at Portsmouth Ghostbusters. Ross, Andy, and everyone involved with the Ecto-1. A big shout-out to Mark for bringing the Ecto-1c, adding that extra touch of authenticity and excitement to our event. And of course, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the Ghostbusters who traveled from near and far to join us.
